In this case you will repeat the tasks as per task one, but instead of locating the correct points on a georeferenced photograph, you will manually type in the correct coordinates (from 2006_Blimp_Targets.asc ) of the targets visible on your ungeoreferenced image (2006_BlimpPhoto.jpg ). You will repeat this for the six visible control points, which you will need to find the ascii text file (2006_Blimp_Targets.asc ). Tips & WarningsI would suggest starting a completely new map document for this and doing this task independently. As a first step, you should specify the coordinate system of the Data Frame as California State Plane II (metric) with a North American Datum of 1983 . Once you've rectified the image, you should verify you export it in its coordinate system as California State Plane II (metric) with a North American Datum of 1983. Include an inset data frame with a vicinity map showing where this image overlays in relationship to the task one images. |
